As nations witness population growth and changing climate, the scarcity of water continues to proliferate in newer areas world over. Richard Damania, Chief Economist of the Sustainable Development Practice Group, World Bank will discuss the nature of water and how its availability and variability impacts a country’s economy. The talk will address building resilience specifically to factors such as rainfall variability, water pollution, and climate change through various policy instruments and responses. Better planning and management of water from source to tap and back to source may be the only solution to slow down catastrophes of the future.
