Tackling Insurgent Ideologies is India’s flagship conference on Countering/Preventing Violent Extremism.

The year 2019 has already witnessed some of the ghastliest terror strikes in recent memory. Separated by ideology, but united by violence, extremists struck New Zealand and Sri Lanka at the very core of their multicultural, multi-religious national ethos. Both incidents serve to highlight just how strong the perverse feedback loops between violent ideologies, technology and terrorism have become.

Fortunately, these episodes have also created the impetus to mobilise a response. The Christchurch Call to Action Summit marks the first-time states and technology companies have attempted to ideate and execute a common and coordinated strategy to eliminate terrorist and violent extremist content online.

The theme for this year’s edition of Tackling Insurgent Ideologies is “Implementing the Christchurch Call: Towards a Global CVE Agenda.”
